Jikiden Reiki is a traditional healing technique that was developed in ancient Japan and widely practiced before WW 2 and modernization.

Jikiden Reiki is the only original form of Reiki from Japan. “Jikiden” translates to “directly passed down” in Japanese so nothing has been added, changed or Westernized.

The classes are the original teachings of Sensei Mikao Usui, the originator of Reiki that were directly passed down to Dr. Chujiro Hayashi and his student Chiyoko Yamaguchi. The curriculum teaches that everyone from health practitioners to everyday people can easily learn how to facilitate healing for themselves as well as for others.

Jikiden Reiki also serves as an excellent self-development tool to help improve one’s overall well-being and approach to life. This therapy treats the whole person. It brings about feelings of peace, security and well being.

Jikiden Reiki is Treatment Reiki

It is a pure, simple yet effective physical treatment Reiki form that promotes healing by re-establishing the flow of ki (or energy) throughout the system which in turn enhances the bodyʼs innate healing abilities. Jikiden Reiki addresses physical, mental, and emotional conditions such as headaches, pain, digestive disorders, anxiety and depression to name a few. It doesn't just treat the symptoms but goes to the root of the problem.

Jikiden Reiki is gentle and safe and is complimentary to other therapies or medical treatments. It helps balance the body’s energy systems, which is the foundation for health to be restored to an imbalanced body.

The practitioner lays their hands on or over the area where an imbalance is detected which facilitates the release of blocked energy. A treatment is gentle, and deeply relaxing. It also improves the results of all medical treatments, reducing negative side effects, shortening recovery times, and reducing stress.

Jikiden Reiki, Shoden (Level One)

In this course, you will learn the original form of Reiki from Japan including hands-on healing, the history and concepts of Jikiden Reiki. These ancient teachings are steeped in Japanese history and culture.

Jikiden Reiki, Shoden Course Outline

You will learn basic techniques during the 2 day course:

• The objectives of Jikiden Reiki.
• The history of Reiki - Mr.Usui's life, and Reiki’s orgin.
• The history of Jikiden Reiki - Yamaguchi’s life.
• Gokai - the five Reiki Principles in Japanese.
• The concept of Byosen.
• Gyoshi-ho (staring techinque), Koki-ho (breathing technique.
• The first Shirushi (symbol)
• Learn and practice Ketsueki Kokan (blood circulation technique).
• Reiki Mawashi (a method used to feel the Reiki energy flowing).
• Hatsurei-Ho (a method used to practice Reiki at home).
• Reiki practice/group treatment, self treatment.
• You will receive 3 Reiju (attunement).

Jikiden Reiki, Okuden (Level Two)

The 2 techniques taught are the psychological/emotional balancing and distance healing protocols.

**Pre-requisite : Successful completion of the Shoden (Level One) class.

You will learn advanced techniques during the course:

• Psychological treatment.
• Second symbol with deep meanings behind it.
• Psychological treatment demonstrated and explained.
• Practice psychological treatment.
• Distant Reiki treatment.
• Symbol for distant Reiki with deep meanings behind it.
• Practice Distant Reiki treatment.
• Distant Reiki treatment for psychological problems.
• Psychological treatment on yourself.
• You will receive 2 Reiju.
• Reiki practice/group treatment, self treatment.
• Q&A for any questions.

Class sizes are usually intimate. For special events, class sizes are larger. Customized course dates are available upon request.
